Requesting a Carta Account

Carta accounts provide access to a suite of applications tailored to your permissions and project role. Basic access typically includes:

  1. Portal A one-stop dashboard to access all Carta tools. Once logged in, you'll be automatically authenticated across the applications you’re authorized to use.

  2. Admin Tools A web-based tool to manage users, permissions, and project access.

  3. Collections A structured environment for submitting, viewing, and managing metadata-rich forms. Collections supports FAIR data practices and helps teams track sample-centric or process-centric workflows.

  4. Form Builder A tool for designing custom JSON Schema-based forms used within Collections. It allows project leads or data stewards to create standardized templates for data entry.

1. Contact Your Administrator

To request access, reach out to one of the following:

Provide your full name, email address, and the project or organization you're affiliated with.


2. Activate Account through the Welcome Email

Once your account has been created, you will receive a welcome email that contains a temporary password. Follow the link in the email to create your password and activate your account.
